A Magical Garden Retreat for Storytelling & Crafts
Project Overview
Our Wakefield-based client dreamed of a bespoke childminding space that would inspire creativity and imagination. They envisioned a cosy nook where little ones could immerse themselves in storytelling and art, all while enjoying uninterrupted views — from the charming birdhouse to the lush ferns and rustic stumps in the back corner. A canopy over the door allows for people of all ages to take off shoes and coats without getting wet.
To maximise natural light, we designed a space with large double doors, opening up to our client’s south-facing fence with climbing hydrangea, clematis, and tadpole pond. A rich brown exterior finish allows the structure to seamlessly blend into the woodland surroundings, creating a harmonious retreat for little ones to enjoy.
Measuring 6m x 2.5m in an L-shape to complement the existing space, this safe and thoughtfully crafted space is now a haven for creativity, learning, and joy.
